MIDDLEWICH have to wait a little longer to play the first home game of a new Cheshire League season after the weather intervened last weekend.
They had been due to host Irby at Haddon Field in a Division Two fixture but heavy rainfall prevented the game from starting at all.
Instead they make a short trip to Winnington Park when the campaign resumes on Saturday.
Middlewich seconds entertain Cheadle Hulme thirds at the same time.
Winsford were denied an opportunity to follow a victory against Trafford MV in their first game with another when the conditions prompted their game at Mossley to be called off.
Ben Crellin’s men will instead turn their attention to a home date with Wistaston Village at Knights Grange this weekend.
All games start at 1pm.
