Why should I watch..?
To see if improving 1874 Northwich can bring to an end promotion-chasing Bootle’s impressive 11-match winning run in the North West Counties League’s Premier Division.
A side managed by Paul Bowyer and Wayne Goodison triumphed in the return in September.
They make a trip to Bootle buoyed by winning their past three games in all competitions and keeping a clean-sheet for the first time since November when they saw off Abbey Hey last time out.
That progress is sure to be tested by free-scoring opponents who have found the net more often than any top-flight rival.
1874 have reason to be optimistic though; they are unbeaten in four previous visits to play Bootle on Merseyside and have already held leaders City of Liverpool on the same pitch earlier this season.
What they’ve said
"Our mind-set has to be that we can go to Bootle and win the game.
“We expect to come under more pressure than we have in our past couple of games and I’m looking to see how we handle that.”
Wayne Goodison, 1874 Northwich co-manager
