WINSFORD B recorded a victory they hope will be enough to secure promotion when they whitewashed Congleton D on Sunday.
Steve McCormack, Bill Lawrie, Dan Clarke and Chris Mayoh were on court for an 8-0 win that leaves their side two points clear at the South and Mid Cheshire Winter League’s Division Five summit.
A home date next month with Cuddington D, who currently occupy second place, concludes the campaign.
Meanwhile Winsford A’s demotion from the top-flight is already assured even before they host title-hopefuls Congleton A in their remaining fixture next weekend.
They have conceded their past two games, and sit bottom of the table.
