WITTON Albion transferred their impressive form in knockout competitions to the Northern Premier League when they thrashed Buxton on Saturday.
Carl Macauley’s men ran out emphatic 5-0 victors at Silverlands, where striker Will Jones put them in front midway through the first-half when he turned in Matty Devine’s low cross.
James Foley converted a penalty, after Tom Owens had been fouled, to double their lead before the break.
Foley added to the visitors’ advantage on 63 minutes before Danny McKenna curled in a glorious fourth goal shortly afterwards.
Unlucky Buxton defender Josh Meade then diverted another Foley attempt past his own goalkeeper in added time.
Who stood out for you in Witton’s colours?
