Why should I watch..?
To see if 1874 Northwich can pick up where they left off a fortnight ago when they put five goals without reply past Silsden.
Their form has improved in the North West Counties League and they have lost only once since a 2-1 reverse at Runcorn Town on September 15.
And another win on Saturday could propel them back into the table’s top 10 ahead of a double-header with Hanley Town.
Charnock Richard are vulnerable at home, and have lost three times in front of their own supporters this season already.
However they remain one of the Premier Division’s most potent attacking teams and only City of Liverpool, the current leaders, have scored more goals than they have to date.
What they’ve said
“Charnock Richard have been a bit inconsistent so far this season in the same way that we have.
“But if they get it right then we know they have the quality to cause us some problems.
“However we’ve got a bit of momentum behind us in league game, and it’s important we keep that going.”
Wayne Goodison, 1874 Northwich co-manager
Numbers game
1874 Northwich have lost only one of their past seven matches in the North West Counties League’s top-flight
Man to keep an eye on…
Dane Rigby
The young goalkeeper has made 10 appearances for Lostock Gralam to date in the Cheshire League’s second tier this season – valuable experience as he makes a transition to adult football.
If James Coates is prevented by a back injury from playing, then he will be keen to impress on debut.
1874 team news
Goalkeeper James Coates (back) is rated as doubtful, and so youngster Dane Rigby is on standby to make his debut.
Matty Russell (elbow) may not feature either while new recruit Aaron Burgess (ankle) is ruled out by an injury sustained during a friendly against Knutsford in midweek.
Paul Connor, Mark Jones and Jack Pritchard are available again but Sam Freakes, Ryan Jackson and Joe Woolley (all knee) are long-term absentees.
Kyle Riley (hand) is waiting on the results of a scan.
