POLICE Community Support Officer Diana Wiggins has been taking part in a series of woodland activities.
PCSO Wiggins took part in one of the Forest School sessions which are held in the small woodland behind Little Leigh Primary School.
Forest School originally comes from Norway. The children are outside in the woodland and involved in activities such as den building, bug hunting, making art using natural resources, making bows and arrows and stickmen, baking and toasting marshmallows over an open fire.
From this they gain confidence, communication skills, teamwork, increase their motor skills, develop and improve social skills, and learn about risk management, the environment and nature.
