The minutes were read and dates for future activities were given out.

Followed by the guest speaker Jean Martyn who had appeared on Britain’s Got Talent.

A concert pianist who entertained us with various music along with charm, tales and anecdotes, Jean went on to explain how she became a concert pianist starting from the age of one and progressing throughout her life. She undertook various examinations which led her to work with a variety of famous singers, songwriters and musicians. Since the show Jean has continued to wow audiences across the UK including recent standing ovation at the O2 arena in London.

At the interval, tea and coffee was served with an array of splendid homemade cakes which were enjoyed by all. The Dane Grove Cup was then presented to the winners of Cuddington/Sandiway and a raffle was drawn.

Entertainment was from Julie Ackerley and Sandra Perrier. Both ladies belong to the W.I choir, they gave a medley of songs and a comical sketch based on a trip to a seaside town and a fortune teller.
