At this month’s meeting, the Northwich Photographic Society held its first competition of the season.
The title was ‘Reflection’ which was chosen in April at the end of last season. Members have been busy over the summer months searching high and low for reflections and to good effect. The judge for the evening was Bob Dennis APAGB, CPAPG, AFIAP, BPE4* who is an old friend of the society having given lectures and judged competitions in the past. He certainly had his work cut out for him this week with an impressive range of images.
Eventually after much deliberation and with very encouraging and constructive criticism he decided on the following first places - each getting a maximum mark of 20 out of 20...
In the small print category ‘ All done with Mirrors’ by Beryl Harwood In the large print category ‘ Venice Backwater’ by David Whitehead In the printed digital image category equal were ‘Champagne in the Clouds’ and ‘Keeping an Eye on the Washing’ both by David Boot.
