PCC John Dwyer visited Winsford Industrial Estate for a firsthand look at investments that have established the estate as a crime safety leader.

CCTV, property marking kits, crime seminars, improved signage and manned security foot patrols over holiday periods have all contributed to Winsford being among the safest places to do business.

Funding for schemes is a result of Winsford – like Gadbrook Estate in Northwich – being a Business Improvement District, whereby firms contribute a levy towards material improvements.

Chairman of the Winsford 1-5 Business Improvement District, Peter Price, said. “I would like to pay tribute to the support we have received from Inspector Snasdell in helping us to maintain very low levels of crime.

“Our efforts have made this estate a great safe place to do business which is a high priority for all concerned.”
