A MIDDLEWICH company has become one of the only firms in the UK to win an highly esteemed award twice.
Genesys International, a chemical exporter in Aston Way, was presented with The Queens Award for Enterprise, International Trade, by the Lord Lieutenant of Cheshire, David Briggs.
The Genesys team attended a glittering ceremony at Mere Court Hotel in Knutsford where chairman Ted Darton praised the hard work of staff for making the award possible.
He added: “Genesys International has just celebrated its 10th birthday and has gained global recognition as a market leader due to innovative products and good technical support.”
Also in attendance was Genesys co-founder Ursula Annunziata and dignitaries including Fiona Bruce MP.
She said: “The enterprising achievements of companies like Genesys, developing trade, creating jobs, and achieving global exports, are an essential component of the country’s return to financial well being.
“I am particularly impressed that Genesys is working in the highly positive area of water treatment, bringing clean drinking water to millions of people worldwide and helping to prevent much disease.”
