THE grounds of the Residence Restaurant on Mill Street in Nantwich will be transformed into an ice rink this Christmas.
Nantwich Town Council has been working closely with the Residence and Wonder Ice Ltd on the project.
The plans have been specifically designed to provide festive family entertainment and to boost facilities for visitors.
The planned ice rink will be housed in a 5,000sq ft marquee and will hold up to 80 skaters at one time for hourly sessions. The rink will be open daily from Saturday December 5 to Sunday January 3, with public skating sessions each day.
Skate hire is included in the ticket price.
A rink-side cafe bar operated by the Residence will allow skaters and spectators to keep warm with hot drinks and food.
