PEOPLE who want to learn more about dyslexia are being invited to a special open evening at South Cheshire College next month.

The Cheshire Dyslexia Association is hosting a free information event to raise awareness of the condition and encourage people to come along for advice and support.

The evening, which is designed for parents and children, gets underway at the Crewe college on Wednesday November 4 from pm to 8.30pm.

Teachers and learning support mentors are also welcome to attend the event.

Rose Heesom, chairman of the Cheshire Dyslexia Association, said: “There are many people out there who may have only just realised that they suffer from dyslexia and aren’t sure where to go for help.

“People often feel isolated and the association recognises the need to provide support and create a positive angle to dyslexia.

“Hopefully, people will come along to find out more. This is a great opportunity for them to talk to others and share ideas about the condition.”
