PRACTICAL instructors at Reaseheath College in Nantwich returned to learning to gain a professional certificate in education.

The instructors followed an intensive five day programme to achieve their City and Guilds Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector qualification.

As well as updating the staff’s personal qualifications, the achievement will ensure that Reaseheath remains at the cutting edge of technical delivery.

The Nantwich college teamed up with AtLast! training Ltd to create a bespoke course allowing the instructors to study in their workplace during college holidays, avoiding disruption to students. Some 16 successful staff were awarded their qualification at a ceremony on Monday.

Congratulating the successful instructors, Reaseheath’s vice principal Dave Kynaston said that the staff’s commitment had been impressive as the course had been intensive.

AtLast’s Vince Holley added: “We worked closely with Reaseheath to deliver the training at a time and place to suit both the college and the staff.

"The programme worked extremely well because the instructors were very motivated.”
