It is not known who the vehicles belong to, but having an untaxed vehicle in a public road/car park is against the law.

Any vehicle being used on a public/private road must be taxed and insured.

If not, the registered owner must SORN (Statutory Off Road Notification) their vehicle.

This is when you keep your car, van, motorbike, moped or scooter ‘off the road’ whilst still being the official owner.

According to the DVLA, the registered keeper of an untaxed vehicle will receive a £80 fine, which may be reduced to £40 if paid within 33 days.
