MUM-OF-TWO Jenny Kozyra reviews Shaun the Sheep: Find the Flock at Tatton Park.

From March 29 until June 23, visitors to the National Trust gardens at Tatton Park will be able to take on the challenge of finding 12 colourful Shaun the Sheep sculptures.

In partnership with Wild in Art and Aardman, the supersized Shaun the Sheep sculptures have been designed and painted by local and regional artists.

We paid £1 for a trail sheet and headed into the beautiful gardens on a sunny Sunday morning.

We were greeted by the first Shaun in the orchard and I instantly loved the design of the sculpture.

It had apples all over and was so brightly coloured. It just popped with brightness against the colours of the garden behind.

We carried on our search, each Shaun the Sheep was different and amazingly designed.

They were so clever how the pattern linked to where they were in the gardens.

The Japanese cherry blossom on the sculpture in the Japanese garden was one of my favourites, but then equally the one adorned in fruit and vegetables that we found in the walled kitchen garden was so much fun. To be honest it would be hard to choose a favourite.

Each sculpture is on a plinth which gives information about the design. This info can also be found on the trail sheet which I found really interesting to read while my children were more interested in finding the hidden letter on each sheep to solve the hidden word.

Once you have all the letters you need to unscramble them and find the hidden word. Luckily, working together, we found out the answer and took our sheets to the garden shop at the end of the trail to collect a sticker.

Shaun the Sheep: Find the Flock runs until June 23 and is open daily from 10am to 6pm.

Entry to Tatton Park starts from £7 for children, with trail sheets an additional £1.

No dogs are allowed in the gardens and parking costs between £7.20 and £9.50.

With the help of her two daughters Robyn and Megan, Jenny Kozyra reviews family-friend events and activities around Cheshire.
