POLICE issued dispersal orders at McDonald's restaurants in Northwich and Winsford on the same day.
Four officers from the Hartford and Greenbank, and Moulton and Davenham local units were called to the Northwich restaurant in High Street on the evening of Tuesday, March 26.
They were responding to reports of a group of youths causing a nuisance and refusing to budge when reasonably asked to do so.
The youths were ordered to leave the area, and not to return.
The same day, Winsford police responded to similar reports at the McDonald's restaurant on Nat Lane, Wharton, after youths were reported causing a disturbance and refusing to leave.
Police made the dispersal orders under Section 34 of the Anti-social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014, which make it an offence for anyone to return to a specific area for up to 48 hours.
The powers in Winsford are in place now and will run until 9.30pm on Thursday, March 28, while the order in Northwich will remain in place until 6pm on Wednesday, March 27.
A Cheshire Police spokesman said: "Officers from Northwich local policing units have issued dispersal orders in Northwich and Winsford following reports of anti-social behaviour at fast food restaurants in the towns.
"On Tuesday, March 26, police were called to reports of ASB at McDonald's on Nat Lane, Winsford, and McDonald's on High Street, Northwich.
"During both incidents there were groups of youths who were behaving unacceptable and refusing to leave the premises."
Inspector Dave Levins, of Northwich local policing unit, said: “Due to ongoing ASB by a small minority of people, we took decisive action to impose a dispersal orders in both of the areas affected.
“If you are ordered to leave the dispersal order area and you come back, you are likely to be arrested.
“I would urge anyone who witnesses or who has been a victim of ASB to report this to us by calling 101, or reporting it via our website so that we can investigate further.”
