A FAMILY has made a heartfelt last-ditch appeal to be reunited with a lost sentimental keepsake from their beloved dog Scooby.
After Scooby's death, owner Paul Williams kept a brass stag's head decoration, which had come from one of his specially-made collars, as a memento.
Paul attached the stag's head to the driver's side door plinth of his grey Vauxhall Grandland X car, but unfortunately forgot to remove it when he then sold the car.
The car was transferred to a new owner through Fords of Winsford on February 22 and Paul's stepdaughter Alicia Emmitt is hoping the buyer could help reunite him with Scooby's keepsake.
She said: "It would mean the world if I could reunite it with my stepdad.
"The stag's head was on Scooby's collar, but it wasn't a normal dog collar.
"The collar was made by a horse tack lady in Ireland because normal dog collars wouldn't fit him."
Anyone who discovers the stag's head is asked to contact Alicia via Facebook or email via aliciaemmitt2015@gmail.com.
