POLICE were called to Northwich town centre following the sudden death of an elderly man.
Officers were called by ambulance crews to an address near High Street at 11.10am on Wednesday, February 14.
An eyewitness said Apple Market Street was still closed to traffic at around 2.30pm, and reported ambulances and a large police presence near Market Car Park.
While police have confirmed they are investigating, the man’s death is not currently thought to be suspicious.
A spokesman for Cheshire Police said: “At around 11.10am on Wednesday, February 12, police were called by ambulance crews to an address in the High Street area of Northwich, following reports of the sudden death of an elderly man.
“While the death is not believed to be suspicious, enquiries to establish the circumstances are underway.
