A CRAFT beer bar and restaurant has announced the launch of its second venue.

Little Tap in Tarporley is set for some exciting changes, with the acquisition of a new location.

The current site, at 69 High Street, will focus on the bar side of the business with the new venue taking over restaurant duties.

Owner Myles Carr said: “Last week I agreed the lease to a new site.

“It is very exciting, there’s lots going on.

“Little Tap will be staying. We will focus on bar in there and then the new site will be the restaurant.

“It will allow us to have a lot more space, more going on."

Myles, who opened Little Tap at a former butcher's shop in 2016, added: “The seven year itch has finally come to fruition.

“It has not been an easy seven years but kept going, developed the business and I’m very, very, proud of it and so excited for this new site.

“It’s something that I’ve wanted to do for a while and now we’ve got the scope to do it.”

While he can’t share the address just yet, Myles confirmed that the new venue will be “just a few steps away” from the original Little Tap.

The Facebook post announcing the expansion has been ‘liked’ more than 450 times, with 150-plus leaving comments sharing their excitement.

“We have been overwhelmed by the support shown on socials,” Myles added.

“It confirms to us that the project is the right move and the new site will be a brilliant addition to the business.”

The next step is crowdfunding, with Myles looking for the community to financially back part of the project.

“We are very much customer focused and involving our loyal base with crowdfunding makes the project mean so much more,” he said.

“Roll on 2024, let’s get this done!”
