FAMILIES are being invited to brave a spooky Halloween trail this October.

From this week, the Halloween Magical Woodland, set in 15 acres of stunning countryside at Blakemere Village off Chester Road, is open.

And organisers are encouraging visitors to come down this Friday, October 13 - one of the most superstitious days of the year.

The North West's spookiest interactive Halloween experience, the Magical Woodland offers a trail of family favourites including the Dinosaurs Den, Ghostbusters Ghetto, the Hocus Pocus party pad and the Under the Sea spectacular.

There will also be more than a million fairy lights, multiple laser displays, dazzling tunnels and captivating canopies transforming the woodland.

A Magical Woodland spokesperson said: "Make Friday the 13th a special one as the Magical Woodland characters mingle with you throughout the stunning trail, bringing the experience to life as floating creepy crawlies, a field of fire, the rickety Addams Family house and spectacular lasers fill the night sky.

"Performance art will bring some scenes to life adding interactive fun to the occasion and endless opportunities to take amazing photographs along the way.

"So grab your ‘Mummy’ and become ‘Ghostbusters’ for the night as you meander the ‘Labyrinth’ trails of the Magical Woodland."

Guests will be allocated a 90-minute time slot from the time of entry and the interactive sound and light experience can be looped as many times as you wish.

Food and drinks will also be available. Onsite car parking is available and can be booked online when purchasing tickets.

The Magical Woodland runs until October 31. Tickets are £23.95 for adults, £16.50 for children or £75 for a family pass (two adults, two children).
