BEER will take centre stage as a popular annual event makes its return.

The Northwich Beer, Drinks and Music Festival is almost upon us, back for its 29th year.

Organised by the four clubs that make up Rotary in Northwich, the event will see guests given the chance to sample dozens of beers, as well as ciders, gins, wines and more.

Chairman of the festival, Martin Waterfall, can’t wait.

He said: “We are delighted and look forward to another great event.

“The festival has always been very well supported by our local community - from the public who attend and by local business who sponsor the beers and programme.

“A really big thank you to everyone that supports our event, especially our main sponsor NPORS from Northwich, who are leaders in training and accreditation.

“The funds that are raised are distributed by Rotary in Northwich to local good causes and Rotary charities.”

The 29th Annual Northwich Beer, Drinks and Music Festival will take place on Friday September 15 and Saturday 16.

It will be held at the Brio Leisure Centre in Memorial Court, with all proceeds going towards Rotary charities.

The 2022 edition of the festival raised over £8,000 for local charities.

On offer will be 35 casks of beers, 12 casks of cider, a selection of wines and prosecco, and due to popular demand, a larger gin bar than ever before.

Meanwhile, food will be available courtesy of Brio Leisure Centre.

Much like previous years, the festival will be held over three sessions, beginning with a Friday night session from 6pm until 11pm.

There will then be a Saturday lunchtime session from 12pm to 4pm, before the Saturday evening session from 6pm to 11pm.

Alongside the refreshments will be live music, provided by Off The Cuff on Friday and Cheshire-based Indie-Cisive on the Saturday.

Tickets go on sale from Tuesday, August 1, at www.northwichbeerfestival.co.uk or at the Ticket Outlets at Brio Leisure Centre, CRS Insurance Brokers, Wildwood & Kismet Hartford.

Tickets are priced at £10 for the two later sessions and £7.50 for the Saturday lunchtime event.

There is still time to get involved as a sponsor, with more details available by contacting martin.waterfall@btinternet.com.
