AN award-winning Cheshire restaurant and pub chain is set to open its fifth venue later this month.

Nelson Hotels & Inns is a family-run collection of hotels, inns and restaurants, which includes the likes of the Grosvenor Pulford Hotel & Spa in Chester, The Bear's Paw in Sandbach, The Pheasant Inn in Tattenhall and The Fishpool Inn in Delamere.

The chain has announced it will officially open its new venue, The Manor at Greasby, on Friday, March 17.

The Manor is set to be a stylish yet inviting restaurant located in the heart of Greasby, featuring an expansive dining room and bar, plus a state-of-the-art, sustainably functioning kitchen. Its gastropub-style menu will include 30-day aged steaks, wood-fired pizzas and Asian inspired dishes.

Bringing the award-winning group's fine formula for quality hospitality, unique settings and a warm welcome to the local area, Nelson Hotels & Inns say The Manor will combine casual dining within a relaxed and stylish setting.

All dining occasions can be catered for, from casual lunches to evening meals and special celebrations. In addition, ‘The Barn at The Manor’, set in a historical barn within the grounds of the 17th century manor farmhouse, will be the ultimate regional destination for weddings and special occasions of up to 80 seated guests.

Following a successful local recruitment drive, The Manor will launch with a 79-person team led by General Manager, James McAdam, Executive Head Chef, Andrei Costea and Group Food & Beverage Operations Director at Nelson Hotels & Inns, Neil Armstrong. Their combined industry experience at top restaurants and large venues across the UK will ensure exceptional service and establish The Manor as a leading restaurant in the region.

Launching with an extensive menu, The Manor will offer a selection of table nibbles and small plates ideal for sampling and sharing, including crispy chicken tacos, seared king scallops and truffle-sautéed wild mushrooms. A contemporary take on British classics and gastro-pub influences will feature on the main courses, along with inspiration from Asian fusion cuisine.

Afternoon tea will be available Monday to Friday, including a variety of hand-made finger sandwiches with a choice of Farmhouse granary or white bloomer bread, freshly baked scones and a seasonal selection of delicate sweet treats crafted by the restaurants dedicated Head Pastry Chef, Zuzana Laczova.

Neil Armstrong, Group Food & Beverage Operations Director at Nelson Hotels & Inns, said: "Our team has created an opening menu that we’re really proud of and believe offers something suitable for everyone and every occasion. From small plates and gastro-pub inspired British classics fit for casual dining, to unexpected flavours from the Far East, our menu will combine seasonal inspiration with elevated execution.

"With our skilled kitchen team and an excellent array of locally-sourced, fresh produce to execute this ambitious menu, we believe that The Manor will offer a stand-out dining experience to the Wirral which will attract locals and new visitors alike."
