MIDDLEWICH High School is celebrating a strong set of results with the ‘resilient’ Class of 2022.

There were happy tears, hugs and smiles at the King Edward Street school this morning, Thursday, as pupils picked up their GCSE results.

Headteacher Heid Thurland said: “During year 11, students and staff worked tirelessly to secure their grades; I feel immense pride when I see the difference our fantastic students have made to their futures by their excellent work ethic.

“Every grade counts for each of our talented cohort and they will now go on to their next destination at Sir John Deane’s Sixth Form College, Reaseheath, South Cheshire College, Warrington Vale or to high value apprenticeships.

“Only last week we reflected proudly on our MHS alumni who achieved fantastic A-level and BTEC grades.

Northwich Guardian:

“I have no doubt that two years from now we will be hugely proud of who the Class of 2022 will have become.”

Matthew Snelson, CEO of the Sir John Brunner Foundation, added: “Congratulations to Middlewich High School’s year 11 students.

“They should be very proud of their achievements, and we look forward to seeing them excel in their next steps.

“This is a result of talented, caring and compassionate Middlewich High School colleagues, supportive parents and carers but most of all the focused, dedicated and hard-working students.”

Among the set of talented students was Tyler Maddock, who hopes to be a politician.

He said: "I’ll be doing A-levels at South Cheshire College in history, politics and computer science."
