Tsegay was appearing from custody at Chester Magistrates Court
A WINSFORD man has been remanded in custody after being charged with rape and sexual assault.
Yakub Tsegay, of Station Road, appeared before magistrates in Chester on Wednesday, August 17.
The 27-year-old has been charged with raping a woman on Sunday, August 14 and on the same day, sexually assaulting her.
He was produced in the dock from custody where he has been held since his arrest.
No application for bail was made on Tsegay’s behalf and he has not yet entered a plea in relation to either of the allegations.
He will next appear at Chester Crown Court on Wednesday, September 14 where he is expected to enter a plea in relation to both counts.
