POLICE have closed a main road between Holmes Chapel and Middlewich after a car crashed into a tree.
Emergency services were called to the scene in Middlewich Road at 3.25pm this afternoon (August 2) following the collision.
The crash involved one vehicle - a grey Toyota Aygo.
A Cheshire Police spokeswoman urged other motorists to avoid the area while the incident is dealt with.
She said: "At around 3.25pm today, Tuesday, August 2, officers were called to reports of a collision involving one vehicle, a grey Toyota Aygo in Middlewich Road, Holmes Chapel.
"It is believed that the vehicle collided with a tree.
"Road closures are currently in place on Middlewich Road and drivers are advised to avoid the area."
