WINSFORD United became the first team to achieve a win against Longridge Town in six matches at the weekend.
Defender Dylan Chalice netted the winner in added time.
Blues, who climbed one place to 14th in the North West Counties Football League Premier Division as a result, led from the 22nd minute courtesy of frontman Kevin Exell.
However, Longridge, who were seven places above Blues going into the contest, got themselves back to parity in the 70th minute through Connor Martin.
Middlewich Town secured a 1-0 home win against AFC Knowsley in the Cheshire Football League Premier Division.
Steven Hughes was on target with the all important goal, leaving The Witches 10th in the table.
Progress was made in the Northern Cup by Middlewich Town Reserves.
The Cheshire Reserve League One strugglers, second from bottom after only two wins so far, reached the third round thanks to a 2-1 success at Helsby FC Reserves.
The draw for the quarter-finals sees The Withces travelling to Tyldesley AFC, while the other ties are Golborne FC Res v AFC Unitor, St Helens Res v Garswood Utd Res and Poynton FC Res or Pilkington Res v UptonJFC Blues.
