A WINSFORD man has avoided jail after his 'dangerously out-of-control' dog injured someone.
Ashley Shaw was in charge of his Shih Tzu-pug cross 'Buddy' on July 8 earlier this year when it attacked a person in Westminster Grove.
Following the incident, the 38-year-old pleaded guilty on November 4 to being the owner/person in charge of dangerously out-of-control dog which caused injury.
And yesterday at Chester Crown Court, Shaw was sentenced to four months in prison, suspended for 12 months.
He was also given a three-month curfew to remain at his Westminster Grove home between 7pm and 7am each night until March 2 next year.
Shaw must also complete rehabilitation activity for a maximum number of 20 days.
Judge Patrick Thompson also ordered shaw to pay costs to the Crown Prosecution Service of £85 and a surcharge of £128.
