The latest Covid-19 cases rates for mid-Cheshire have been released.

Across Cheshire East and Cheshire West, a total of 405 new cases were reported in the latest 24-hour period.

This includes 195 in Cheshire East and 210 in Cheshire West, taking the respective boroughs' totals since the pandemic began to 57,194 and 53,883.

The latest update means there have now been 1,728 cases in the last seven days in Cheshire West, giving the borough a seven-day case rate of 502.6 per 100,000 people.

There have been 1,535 cases in Cheshire East over the last week, meaning the borough’s seven-day case rate is now 397 per 100,000.

Seven-day case rates across both boroughs are now lower than what they were last week.

Nationally there were 42,583 new Covid-19 cases across the UK in the latest 24-hour period.
