Get ready to meet Nordic Santa, the Snowy Princess and Frosty the Frozen Dragon when the Big Wintery Weekend arrives in Winsford.

The free event at Winsford Cross shopping centre on Saturday, December 11 and Sunday, 12 is bringing some frozen magic to town, with a host of frosty friends for children to meet as well as crafting activities and a snowman trail.

On Saturday, December 11, children can meet Nordic Santa in his icy blue suit as he recites tales of Christmases around the globe and of his Lapland adventures. The Snowy Princess will also be stopping by to sing some Christmas tunes and get everyone in the festive spirit.

Inside the centre there'll be a crafting corner, where little ones can come and write their letters for Santa.

On Sunday, 12, Frosty the giant frozen dragon will be stomping around the mall with his magic frozen elf friend, bringing some glitter and sparkle to the festivities.

In the crafting corner children can take part in a polar bear cookie workshop and can take their delicious bakes home with them.

Throughout the weekend families can take part in the Snowman trail around the shopping centre, there’s a chocolate treat in store for those who find all the frosty friends!

Jeff Jackson, Centre Manager at Winsford Cross said: "Our Big Wintery Weekend promises to be lots of fun with plenty of free activities for the kids to enjoy.

"They’ll be something for everyone with Christmas music, Santa, crafting, the snowman trail and who doesn’t love a frozen dragon?"

Activities will run from 10am - 3pm on both days and will take place inside the mall area at Winsford Cross.
