A MAN has been arrested after a woman died in a crash in Middlewich.
At 11.51am on Friday, October 8, police were called to reports of a collision on Warmingham Lane.
Officers attended the scene and found there had been a one vehicle collision involving a red Ford Focus.
A spokesperson for Cheshire Police confirmed: "Sadly, a passenger from the vehicle, a 57-year-old woman from Crewe, died at the scene.
"Her next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
"A 45-year-old man has been arrested in relation to the incident.
"He remains in police custody at this time.
"Enquiries in relation to the collision and anyone with any information or video footage which may aid the investigation is asked to call Cheshire Police, or visit cheshire.police.uk/tua, quoting IML 1102747."
