A HEARTBROKEN mum whose son died from a severe reaction to a nut allergy has vowed to keep his memory alive.

Louise Hallwood has raised £7,000 for the Anaphylaxis Campaign, which supports sufferers like 12-year-old Cason.

The 39-year-old completed a month long marathon doing 100 squats a day with a 20kg weight on her shoulders.

With relatives and friends, she walked 15 miles collecting at pubs and has held table top sales.

"I need to do something in his honour to raise awareness of this silent killer," she said. "It means everything to me to keep busy."

The family has been overwhelmed by the generosity from the local community.

Cason had a funeral fit for a prince in a white glass carriage led by white horses, after £15,000 was donated.

"We want to make May Bank Holiday Cason day every year," said Louise. "I think of Cason every minute of every day.

"I miss everything about him. He was an absolute character. There wasn't a day he didn't make me laugh or smile. He was just amazing."
