Members of the public are being warned not to approach a man wanted by police in relation to a serious assault.

Officers want to speak to John Healy, who lives in Crewe, but has links to the Winsford, Runcorn and Nantwich areas.

The 44-year-old is wanted in connection with a serious assault, which took place in the Crewe area on Wednesday, October 6.

Healy is described as white, around 6’ 1” tall and of proportionate build. He has short brown hair and blue eyes.

A Cheshire Police spokesman said: "Anyone who sees Healy, or has information regarding his whereabouts, is advised not to approach him but to call police immediately on 999 quoting IML 1101603.

"Alternatively, information can be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
