PARKING and loading restrictions along a road in Winsford are being rolled out to avoid lorries using it as a 'lorry park'.

The introduction of the restrictions follows concerns from residents about parked lorries restricting access, delivery vehicles left idling and lorries parking along the road overnight.

An earlier consultation on the proposals was sent out to residents, who have helped shape the current scheme.

Mayor of Winsford, Nathan Pardoe, said: "The Weaver Valley Road parking and loading restrictions are being rolled out.

"The finalised scheme leaves space between houses on Weaver Valley Road so residents still have visitor parking, but industrial vehicle and lorry parking will be prevented.

"Reflective sign installation and line painting will take place over the next week with disruption kept to a minimum, complete on Friday, October 15 – weather permitting.

"Residents have told me this has been a frustration for many years, and it's great to be able to deliver a scheme which solves your environmental, parking and safety concerns.

"Thanks to all the residents who took part in earlier consultations and helped shape the scheme."
