A TILER from Middlewich has fought off hundreds of other tradespeople to reach the final of the renowned Screwfix Top Tradesperson 2021 competition.

Sarah Dodgson, 44, will join nine other worthy contestants from across the UK and Ireland to go head-to-head to win the coveted title.

With six-and-a-half years of experience as a tiler, Sarah has been selected after demonstrating a real passion for the trade, showcasing her exceptional skills, drive, and determination to go above and beyond for her customers.

Although specialising in wall and floor tiling, Sarah has mastered the art of several other trades including plastering, joinery and roofing, meaning she is able to undertake interior and exterior works in the construction industry.

Sarah was also part of a team of tradespeople involved in a DIY SOS project in 2020, where she helped to create a tiled wet room for a family affected by Motor Neurone Disease.

Sarah is currently being mentored in the specialist craft of historic tile restoration, focusing on Victorian patterned and geometric tiling most often found in listed properties.

The standard of the 10 finalists is incredibly high and Sarah, who owns Angel Tiling, will aim to impress a panel of judges.

The winner will be crowned during Screwfix LIVE and will take home the ultimate £20,000 prize bundle comprising of tech, tools, and training.

Sarah said: "I’m always striving to expand my knowledge by broadening my skillset and learning as much as I can to diversify my talents.

"I’m a real champion for women in trade and I’d be beyond delighted to go on and win this prestigious competition.

"I think I’d make a great ambassador for Screwfix and I’d be accepting the accolade in honour of all the females out there who, like me, are committed to their trade and making their businesses a success."
