A GENEROUS four-year-old will be having 17 inches of her hair cut off to help make a wig for a young person with cancer.
Clara-Rae Thomas, from Winsford, will spend the summer holidays fundraising for the Little Princess Trust – a charity which provides wigs free of charge to those who need them – before donating both the vital funds and her long locks.
Mum Lisa said: "Her friend has her hair on her shoulders and so Clara-Rae said she wanted to have the same."
Lisa then explained how instead of putting her hair in the bin, they could donate it to make a wig for young people who have lost their hair through illness.
"As soon as I said that to her, she was over the moon and was going around telling everyone about it," Lisa added.
"She's made up.
"She'll be starting reception soon so she wanted to be all 'grown up'."
Clara-Rae will be having her hair – which is 30 inches long – cut on August 27 at Guyz N Dollz Hair Studio.
The youngster has already surpassed her fundraising target of £200.
