The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer (LGBTQ) event is celebrated in June to honour every year to honour the 1969 Stonewall Uprising in Manhattan, a tipping point for the Gay Liberation Movement in the United States.

A lot of events have been postponed or cancelled, but many celebrations will continue online.
Winsford Cllr Chris Le, chairman of the town council's community committee, said: "It is vitally important to me that minority groups in Winsford are given a voice.

"Given the recent homophobic attacks in the north west it is imperative that we show support for the LGBTQIA+ community.
"Lighting up the Town Park in recognition of Pride Month sends a clear message that Winsford stands in solidarity with their community against homophobia, biphobia, transphobia and all forms of bigotry and hate.”
