FOUR suspects have been arrested today for drug offence following a police raid.

Officers swooped on three addresses as part of an investigation into the organised supply of Class A and B drugs in Winsford.

Three men and a woman are currently in custody helping police with their enquiries.

Properties on Dart Walk in Winsford, St Pauls Close in Crewe and Dee Way in Winsford were raided as part of an a eight month investigation by Northwich Proactive CID.

A 43-year-old man, from Winsford, was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in supply of class A and B drugs, possession with intent to supply Class A and Class B and transferring criminal property under the Proceeds of Crime Act.

A 28-year-old man, from Winsford, was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A and possession with intent to supply Class B drugs and transferring criminal property under Proceeds of Crime Act.

A 32-year-old woman, from Winsford, was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class B drugs and transferring criminal property under Proceeds of Crime Act.

Northwich Guardian:

A 20-year-old man, from Northwich, was arrested for possession with intent to supply Class B, possession of Class B and possession Class A drugs.

A quantity of drugs and cash have been seized from a property in Winsford.

Detective Constable Mark Sherratt, of Northwich Proactive CID, said: “The warrants today have culminated from months of investigation, disrupting the misery this gang has brought to the nearby community.

“In addition to the arrests and warrants, we were also able to secure a Proceeds of Crime Act (POCA) warrant at the Dart Walk address, we were able to seize any items of substantial worth believed to have been funded by crime and this truly proves that crime doesn’t pay.

“We will do all we can to pursue those who think they can get away with dealing illegal drugs in our community.”

“I want to reassure the public we are doing all we can to crackdown on organised crime groups who are operating in Winsford – these warrants being a prime example of this.

“As the policing commander for Winsford, I can assure you that there will be further activity of this nature and we won’t stop until organised crime does not exist in Winsford.”
