MORE than 740,000 doses of a Covid-19 vaccine have been administered in Cheshire, according to the latest data.

Across the Cheshire CCG area, an accumulative total of 747,206 jabs have been given out – including both first and second doses.

The data, which was released by NHS England on Thursday, also shows the percentage of people in each age group who have received at least one dose of a coronavirus vaccine.

Of the data available, this includes:

  • 40-44: 85.9 per cent
  • 45-49: 84 per cent
  • 50-54: 92.9 per cent
  • 55-59: 99.5 per cent
  • 60-64: 100 per cent
  • 65-69: 95.4 per cent
  • 70-74: 98.9 per cent
  • 75-79: 100 per cent
  • 80+: 97.7 per cent

Meanwhile, a total of 75 new coronavirus cases were recorded in the seven days leading up to May 22 – the most recent period available at the time of writing.

This includes 17 cases in Cheshire West and Chester and 58 in Cheshire East.
