CHILDREN have been inspired by heroic Sir Captain Tom to help others.
Year 3 pupils at Darnhall Primary School in Winsford baked lots of shortbread biscuits to raise money for the Sir Captain Tom Foundation.
The former soldier won the hearts of the nation after raising more than £32 million for NHS Charities Together by completing 100 laps of his garden on his walking frame before his 100th birthday.

The foundation has been set up to ensure Tom's message of hope becomes a lasting legacy.
Children baked biscuits to mark Captain Sir Tom Moore's 101st birthday
Money raised will support causes close to his heart including combating loneliness, championing education and equality and continued support for the NHS.
Teacher Jenny Edwards said: "We baked biscuits to celebrate his 101st birthday. We had decided to make 100 but ended up with lots more, delicious and raising money too."
Children had lots of fun and raised £40.30.
Pupils also created a rap containing 101 words.
