TRAVELLERS who pitched up on a carpark that serves a vaccination clinic in Middlewich have moved on.
On Tuesday evening, several caravans arrived at the town centre's Civic carpark, with concerns their arrival might impact on the clinic that was due to take place today in Victoria Hall.
However, within just 12 hours of their arrival on the site, Lisa Benskin, the Town Clerk confirmed that the caravans owners had been politely asked to move on.
As well as the vaccination clinic taking place on Wednesday, Victoria Hall is also set to be used as a polling station for local elections on Thursday.
However, in a Facebook post, the Town Clerk confirmed the visitors had moved on just after 8am, and did so without leaving any rubbish on the site.
She said: "Following a polite conversation with the caravan owners, they have now left the car park.
"No rubbish left or issues caused and the vaccination clinic is proceeding as normal."
