SOME unusual items were discovered during a litter pick.
Friends of Winsford Town Park teamed up with police community support officers to carry out a knife sweep as part of national anti-knife crime week.
John Malam, chairman of the friends group, said: "The good news is that no knives were found. A few bags of litter were collected.
"PCSO Ben Lee found an old pair of crucible tongs.
"Community and police working together for the benefit of us all."

PCSO Jorge Ferreira and resident Ian Didcock found some decorated stones left by learning disability nursing.

These were picked up and then re-hidden for others to find and enjoy.
