FIREFIGHTERS rescued a mother and child who were trapped in mud in Tatton Park yesterday afternoon, Sunday.
Shortly after 2.50pm firefighters were called to the scene and communicated with the pair who had been walking in the park when they got stuck in a swampy area.
By using the 'What 3 Words' app, the crews were quickly able identify their exactly location and they subsequently rescued.
The pair were both passed to the care of paramedics to be checked over as a precautionary measure.
The crews were detained at the incident for around an hour.
