CREATIVE children have designed their own hoodie.
Pupils at Darnhall Primary School were challenged to come up with ideas for a new logo to capture the activities they enjoy outside.
Youngsters drew pictures of trees, flowers, mushrooms and camp fires to reflect the inspirational lessons they explore as part of their Forest Schools studies.
Year 6 teacher Hayden Baxendale said: "Our talented children have designed a logo that will be worn by all our children for their outside learning and Forest Schools. The year 6 children all designed a logo and then their favourite parts of each other’s was combined to make an overall design.
"We are thrilled and the children can’t wait to receive theirs. These will be gifted to every child in September thanks to generous donations.

"Outdoor learning is so important for the child development and wellbeing. We all see the outdoor spaces at our school as extensions of our classrooms.”
Every child from reception to year 6 and all members of staff will receive a hoodie free thanks to successful grant applications and funding bids.
