A GRAPPENHALL care home has added another accolade to its ever growing portfolio of awards.

Heathfield Residential Home is already rated outstanding by regulator the Care Quality Commission.

Now it has been given platinum accreditation by Investors in People.

Platinum is the highest level of accreditation possible to achieve in the ‘We invest in people’ accreditation and is something only four per cent of organisations achieve.

Paul Devoy, CEO of Investors in People, said: “We’d like to congratulate Heathfield Residential Home.

"Platinum accreditation on ‘We invest in people’ is a remarkable effort for any organisation, and places Heathfield Residential Home in fine company with a host of organisations that understand the value of people.”

Paul Rowley, the home’s owner, said: “The home’s ambition has always been to be a market leader in what it does through differentiation and performance excellence, and the team here have done superbly in achieving this accolade."

The accreditation means policies and practices around supporting people are embedded in every corner of Heathfield Residential Home.

In a platinum company, everyone at all levels of the home knows they have a part to play in the company doing well, and is always looking for ways to improve.

Heathfield is already rated ‘outstanding’ by the industry regulator, the Care Quality Commission, a level achieved by between just two to three per cent of care homes in the UK, and one of the top 10 rated care homes in the north west according to Carehome.co.uk, which stated 'this home achieves very high quality standards'.

In its report, the Investors in People assessor remarked “The home has a strong values based culture, where people very much share in what the home stands for and how it goes about achieving this.

"As an IIP Practitioner of 28 years and an assessor of numerous care homes, I have not witnessed anything of the same level of detail in any other care home I have assessed."
