A MAN was taken to hospital with head injuries following an attack in Padgate.
Police were called to Padgate Lane last Tuesday, April 13, at 4pm after the victim, a 49-year-old man, was hit in the back of the head as walked across the road.
The attacker then walked off with another man.
He is described as tall, with a thin build and was wearing a black tracksuit with the hood up.
The victim was taken to Warrington Hospital and treated for injuries to his head.
PC Sophie Ellis, from Warrington Local Policing Unit, said: “We have been following a number of lines of enquiry but are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and may have witnessed the assault take place.
“I would also ask those with CCTV in this area or dash cam footage if they were driving past at the time to contact us.”
