AN historic building in Warrington town centre has sold.
21 Bold Street is a grade II listed building and went on the market for £500,000 last year.
It has been empty for more than almost a year after well known legal firm FDR moved its commercial department when its lease came to an end at the end of 2019 from 21 Bold Street to 1-3 Palmyra Square, situated across the road.
The move brought to an end an 80-year period when 21 Bold Street has been the home of a number of local firms of solicitors.
The building is in the Cultural Quarter, just across from Queen's Gardens
Now it has sold for £550,000, subject to contracts.
The listing on Rightmove says: "It is arranged over three storeys, with a basement and is of brick elevations under a pitched slate roof.
"There is a small two-storey extension to the rear with a flat felted roof.
"The premises benefits from a primary entrance from Bold Street and a secondary entrance from Suez Street.
"There is a private car park accessed from Bold Street, where there is a separate single storey brick storage building.
"Internally the property comprises reception area and meeting room with a series of cellular office rooms, kitchen and toilets."
