HAIRDRESSERS and barbers are staying open longer hours to make sure as many customers as possible can have their long awaited hair cut.

Beauty therapist Abbie Clarke, who runs The Hair and Beauty Box in Winsford with hair stylist sister Hollie Ryan, is delighted to welcome customers back.

The mum-of-two said: "It means the world to us, we have really missed our customers. Most of our clients come in for a chat too, it is such a feel good and a pick me up. It is good for mental health and wellbeing."

The pair opened their family business in Dene Drive nine years ago.

Hair stylist Hollie said: "I'm happy to be back. We've got a full diary so it's great to be earning money again."

Customer Amy Royle said: "I'm made up to be having my hair done at last. It has given me my confidence back."

Emily Pointon, who was having treatment on her nails and eyebrows, said: "I'm proper made up to be back. I'm coming in tomorrow to get my hair done."

Her sister Megan, who was also in the salon, said: "It feels great to be having my hair done. I've really missed it."

Hairdresser Leeanne Forsey, who owns Guyz n Dollz salon in Wharton Road, said: "The atmosphere has been buzzing, it's absolutely brilliant.

"Everyone is so happy to see us and we are happy to see them. We have received lovely news of what's happened to our clients over lockdown, some are getting married others are having a baby.

"We have been crying, we're that happy. We're so glad to be back, absolutely loving it.

"We're working longer hours and more days to try and get everyone in.

"We've even received gifts, customers are so pleased to see us. It feels like all our Christmases rolled into one."
