FIREFIGHTERS have dealt with a blaze at a Winsford golf course.
One crew from the town was dispatched to the scene off Grange Lane near the Knights Grange Sports Complex at around 8.20pm last night.
The fire was found to involve wood and a conifer tree near to a fairway before it was extinguished.
A Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: "At around 8.20pm on April 7 firefighters were informed of fire on a golf course in Grange Lane, Winsford.
"On arrival the crew discovered that it was small fire involving wood and conifer near to a fairway.
"They used water to extinguish the fire and were in attendance for around 45 minutes."
