CHILDREN'S faces lit up when as they watched cute little chickens hatch.
Pupils at Wharton CE Primary School had been patiently waiting to see eggs spring into life.
Headteacher Natalie Tomlinson said: "Our reception children have recently had an incubator in the classroom and have successfully hatched 10 beautiful chicks.
"They were fascinated to watch the eggs and then got really excited when they started to hatch last Tuesday.
Children watched eggs hatch in an incubator in the classroom "They are now all hatched, healthy and are growing so much every day.
"It’s been so lovely for both the teachers and the children to see this happening up close in the classroom."
