LANDMARKS have been illuminated yellow in honour of the 126,284 people who have died from coronavirus in the UK.
Winsford Town Park and the Brunner Guildhall will remain lit up for a week to commemorate the loss of loved ones.
Deputy mayor Cllr Nathan Pardoe said: "We should remember all those who are no longer with us and cherish the good times we shared with them.
"We should also thank all the key workers who have kept us safe throughout the pandemic.

"I am incredibly proud of the community spirit shown by Winsford residents,who have supported each other during a very difficult year and I hope that better times are ahead."
He thanked council staff for organising the lighting up of Winsford landmarks for the day of reflection.

Candles were lit on doorsteps last night as people across the country paid tribute to everyone who lost their life through coronavirus.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson said the country had been through a year-long 'epic of endurance and privation'.
But 'step by step, jab by jab', the nation was on the path to 'reclaiming our freedoms', he told a news briefing.
Speaking a year after tough Covid restrictions were introduced in March 2020, Mr Johnson thanked people for their 'courage, discipline and patience'.
